Croton (Dove Weed)

CROTON (DOVEWEED) - Drought tolerant native that is a favorite of dove, quail, and other birds. An annual that reseeds vigorously. Croton is best established when planted in the cooler months (December - February), but successful stands have been made with spring plantings. Many people disc strips in fields to increase Croton as a wildlife food source. Plant 3 to 5 pounds per acre.
