Turf-type Perennial Ryegrass

Perennial Ryegrass is a cool season perennial grass selected for turf-type qualities. Perennial ryegrass is used in the southern U.S. for winter overseeding lawns and golf courses and will not grow as rapidly as annuals – which means you won’t have to mow it as often!

Perennial ryegrass will not persist year round in areas of low rainfall and high temperatures. It will usually grow until late spring, then die out, just as your regular turf grass enters its growing season.
