Hubam is a well loved, superstar clover. It is a cool season annual white sweetclover that is highly preferred for its nectar by honey bees, native bees, and butterflies.

Hubam is a fast growing, high protein forage producer that is excellent for wildlife and livestock. It is also used as cover crop for nitrogen fixation and soil penetration. Deer love hubam and their diets can be predominately comprised of sweetclover in the fall, when available. Upland game birds also love Hubam, as they will eat the seed and use the plant as cover.

Hubam does well on a variety of soils, including sandy soils.

In Central and South Texas, fall is the preferred planting time for this clover and it will bloom the following spring. However another popular planting time is at the end of winter/early spring for a later bloom. Hubam is the most heat tolerant of all the clovers and can bloom into the summer under favorable conditions.
