Description

Taylor Sand Dropseed is a native, warm season perennial grass that grows 1-3’ tall.  It is adapted to use in restoration and revegetation plantings in the Edwards Plateau, Llano Uplift, Rolling Plains, Cross Timbers, and Blackland Prairies of Texas.  Sand dropseed is found on a variety of soils and range sites, and it is an important colonizing species of disturbed sites. Sand dropseed is fair forage for livestock and provides good cover and seed production for wildlife including wild turkeys and quail. It has broad utility for use in restoration and reclamation plantings.
